I'm going to abstain from this poll.

I think it would be much more interesting to conduct it after this season. 100%.

Hope we do so and that the necessary amount of contrition is then exhibited.
Maybe before "and" after??
See if public perceptions have changed.
I'm abstaining too though. I have no interest in Kyler’s pole

You should do it now, because we will run it again after the season to see how it's changed.

Thank you for setting it up! The guys seem to find it interesting.

But I'm confident I know what effect 2025's games will have on a reasonable person's assessment so I don't need to complete it preseason. So, no thank you.

I need to know who the 2% that chose Kyler over Mahomes, 4% that chose Kyler over Allen, 9% that chose him over Borrow and 11% that chose him over Lamar are.

I mis-clicked on Mahomes. I am probably that 4%.

i bet kyler has better stats this year
One of the most underdiscussed things in the NFL is the performance of Geno Smith since he won the starting job in Seattle.

28-24 since 2021.
Two HCs.
Two OCs (both terrible)
Terrible offensive line.
Two Pro Bowls
1 playoff appearance
Over 4200 passing yards in two of his three full seasons as the starter.
Over 64% completion % all 4 seasons
Over 20 passing TDs all 3 full seasons
12 game winning drives
Over 7.3 yards per attempt every season

He has worst receiving talent at the Raiders so that is going to have an effect, but he's still better than Kyler. Too many still thinking about 2014 Geno.

as well as upper tier skill people around him: Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf and JSN. Kenneth Walker / Charbonnet at RB.

But, but, he didn't have perfect teams around him! You can't possibly be any good without a perfect team and perfect coaching staff around you, right? (Insert Padme meme here). Right???

Walker has had one season over 4.1 yards per attempt. he has exceeded 1000 yards once.

Charbs has never rushed for more than 600 yards.

Geno has never had a pass catcher who had more receiving yards than McBride had last year.

Also, comparing bad offensive line vs good skill players TO good offensive line vs bad skill players is quibbling. Geno has lapped Kyler, unquestionably, in the same division and with an equally chaotic environment.

Going into multiple Kyler threads, despite there already being a stickied Kyler thread, where it’s mainly just slander is so depressing. I really hope he’s finally consistent for the whole season this year.

The Seahawks let a top 5 under pressure QB go for a bottom 5 under pressure QB with minimal OL upgrades! Good for Geno to move on! I do not know a single Seahawks fan up here happy about that. People are already screaming for Milroe to start! They are convinced he will be the next RW since they were both 3rd rounders and they are hoping the Darold is Matt Flynn 2.0.

This is me when they try to explain how it's history repeating itself.
