Kurt Warner, a Super Bowl champion quarterback and one of the best analysts in the NFL, has had a keen eye on Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams this season, and he's spoken on the second-year QB's progression and development.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, Williams struggled as a rookie, enduring two different head coaches and three offensive coordinators, while the Bears finished 5-12, and went through major changes to the roster and coaching staff in the offseason.

Warner, who frequently appears as a guest on 670 The Score, spoke about Williams' performance in the win over the Washington Commanders, and what he's seen from the Bears offense. Making history in the Week 6 victory, Williams became the first Bears quarterback to throw for at least 200 passing yards and one touchdown in each of the team's first five games.

Some of that success is credited to Williams' own development, but head coach Ben Johnson also deserves the credit, and Warner said he is excited to see what the Bears are capable of with their new quarterback-coach pairing.

"I just think the nature of the different situations as well, they're not all easy situations," Warner said, via 670 the Score. "They're not all easy games, but being able to find ways to win at this stage with a new coach, with a new offense, I'm excited. I'm excited about what I'm seeing and the offense that is out there. There were times last year where it didn't look like a functioning offense, this offense does. It just looked like an NFL offense should look, that to me is what excites me."

There's only a small sample size of this Bears offense, and there's still plenty to clean up on both sides of the ball. But Warner, like many others, are noticing a chance with this team with their new head coach. Whether it's the play and production of Williams at quarterback, the defense's ability to force takeaway, or the fact that they all believe in each other, this Bears team is quickly changing the narrative around the franchise.
