Korn Ferry Tour pro Ryan McCormick keeps making headlines for the strangest reasons. Last time, it was for taping his mouth shut on the golf course.

This time? The 34-year-old New Jersey native and St. John's University product made an unlucky 13 at the par-4 ninth hole at Hillcrest Country Club on Friday in the second round of the Albertsons Boise Open.

McCormick wasn't going to make the cut anyway — he had opened with 5-over 76 and was 3 over for the day without a single birdie on his card when he reached his final hole of the day. But there would be no birdie at the ninth either.

In fact, McCormick would proceed to hit not one, not two, not three, not four, but five tee shots that all flew left into a sea of trees and out of bounds. His 11th shot sailed left too but in bounds, carrying 325 yards into the rough. From 88 yards, he found the putting surface. McCormick canned the putt from 20 feet, 5 inches to end his misery. A one-putt for 13 is the ultimate whip cream on you-know-what.

McCormick signed for 83, a continuation of a difficult season in which he has missed seven cuts in 11 starts this season with only one top-25 to show for his efforts.
