On Wednesday, the Knicks submitted their official injury report to the NBA, as the team prepares to hit the road for Game 6 vs. the Pistons in Detroit, which will be played at 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday.
Surprisingly, the Knicks filed an entirely clean report with the league, with two key starters--Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart--notable for their absence. Both Hart and Brunson were centers of attention late in the Knicks' Game 5 loss at Madison Square Garden, because each went out with just under three minutes to play because of injuries.
Coach Tom Thibodeau failed to stop the clock to get Hart and Brunson back in until only 27 seconds were remaining.
In parsing Thibs' explanation of the situation, it stands to reason that perhaps he worried Brunson and Hart were more injured than most knew.

Brunson, as usual, suffered an ankle injury in the game and was still limping when he returned. "I'm all good," he declared after the game, though it's still odd to not see him on Thursday's report.
Hart appeared to suffer a wrist injury in the game. "Just needed to regroup, walk it off, and try to go back in," Hart said.
When asked if the wrist was his issue, he added, "My whole body's bothering me."
Thibodeau was noncommittal when discussing the injuries on Tuesday.
And Hart did not sound like he was going to let his whole-body issues trouble him.
"We've got to go out there and win the game," Hart said. "We've got to go out there and compete. We've got to go out there and be physical. Not worry about foul calls, or refs, or anything like that. We've got to make sure we can control what we can control."
