As the New York Knicks enjoy their first NBA Finals victory in 53 years, the team is now looking ahead to the 2026 NBA Draft.

Part of the process of doing that is hosting prospects for workouts and the Knicks did just that on Sunday by bringing in a group of players.

Included in that group was Duke guard Isaiah Evans, according to SNY’s Ian Begley.

“Knicks, fresh off a late night/early morning return from San Antonio on Sunday, hosted Duke guard Isaiah Evans today as part of a group workout for draft prospects, per SNY sources,” Begley reported.

Evans became a full-time starter in 2025-26 and averaged 15 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest and shot 43% from the field and 36% from long range.

Here’s more information on Evans from Babcock Hoops’ scouting report on him:

“Isaiah Evans is a confident, skilled scorer with the tools to become a dynamic wing at the NBA level,” Matt Babcock stated. “His ability to create and make tough shots, combined with his defensive potential, positions him as an intriguing prospect. With further development in strength, shot selection, and defensive consistency, Evans has the upside to become a significant contributor at the NBA level.”

Isaiah Evans a great fit for Knicks

With his impressive ability from three-point range, Evans would be a fantastic fit in New York’s offense.

The Knicks are built around Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, both of whom command extra attention, especially near the basket.

Having a sharpshooter like Evans on the perimeter to make teams pay for doubling Brunson and Towns would be hugely beneficial for New York.

Adding to that, Evans, who is also a threat to take the ball to the basket, could step in and replace Landry Shamet off the bench if he departs in free agency this offseason.
