Knicks' Miles McBride undergoes tests on sore ankle; team awaiting results: report

The Knicks are doing their due diligence in trying to figure out what's ailing guard Miles McBride.

McBride is missing his fourth straight game due to a sore left ankle and the NY Post's Stefan Bondy reports that the Knicks guard has undergone tests. The team is still awaiting the results of the exams.

The New York guard has missed time on two separate occasions due to his sore ankle. He first missed eight games after suffering a high ankle sprain back on Dec. 7. He made 15 appearances when he returned before missing this stretch of games due to his ankle soreness.

Knicks head coach Mike Brown said that McBride was dealing with soreness and did not suffer a setback, but the lingering pain was enough for the team to dig deeper.

In 35 games (14 starts) this season, McBride is averaging a career-high 12.9 points, 2.8 assists and a career best 42 percent shooting from three. His minutes this season have also seen an uptick, as he's averaging 28 minutes on the court.
