Start spreading the news!
WWE returns to Madison Square Garden on Saturday and plenty of champions will be on hand.
Undisputed champion CM Punk will be there. So will WWE Women's Tag Team champions Brie Bella and Paige, who will defend their championships on the show.
Oh, and another champion who recently won one of the biggest championships of the summer will be in the Garden: New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson.
Brunson, who led the Knicks to the NBA championship in June, was invited by WWE Champion Roman Reigns to come out to the show on Saturday.
"What will Brunson have in store when he rolls into MSG with The Tribal Chief?" WWE wrote on its website. "Don’t miss Saturday Night’s Main Event streaming this Saturday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Peacock."
While WWE is a global product now, running shows all over the world, it's home base has always been New York and the Garden is a very special building to WWE. That's why the promotion was so involved with the Knicks during their run to the championship.
And while Brunson might be the biggest reason for the Knicks championship, the NBA Championship MVP might be WWE's resident ghoul Danhausen. After not being a huge Knicks supporter early in the playoffs, Danhausen reversed the Knicks curse when they were down two games to one in the first round.
After Danhausen reversed the curse, the Knicks closed out the Hawks, swept the Philadelphia Sixers and Detroit Pistions and beat the Spurs 4-1 in the NBA Finals.
Brunson is set for a date with WWE's stop star Reigns, but he will likely be pulling for Danhausen, who is wrestling on the show. The charasmatic but goofy star will take on JD McDonagh during the show.
