If you’d like to wear the shirt of the real MVP of the NBA Finals, they’re available.
We’re not talking about Jalen Brunson or any of the stars on the Knicks. Yes, they were important, but they weren’t the reason for the Knicks success.
That honor belongs to WWE superstar Danhausen, who uncursed the Knicks all the way to the NBA Championship.
You’ll just have to pay some human monies to secure it.
World Wrestling Entertainment is jumping on the Knicks bandwagon, or is it the Knicks jumping on the Danhausen bandwagon? Either way, it lead to New York’s first NBA championship since 1973.
Danhausen, WWE’s very nice, very evil ghoul who does more damage to his opponents by putting curses on them than hammerlocks, has been the Knicks good luck charm.
During WrestleMania week, when WWE stars were all over ESPN, the Knicks were starting their journey toward the NBA title. At the time, they were struggling, down 2-1 to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round.
Danhausen, who was bickering with ESPN star and Knick fan Stephen A. Smith, uncursed the Knicks during this time. After that, the Knicks won three against Atlanta, swept the Philadelphia 76ers, swept the Cleveland Cavaliers and then lost just once to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals.
The Knicks were 15-1 in the playoffs after the curse was taken off. Did that lead to the championship?
“At first I was skeptical, but I mean you have to believe it now,” Brunson told Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on the Tonight Show.
Now if you want to show the world why the Knicks won, you can buy a WWE shirt that says “You are uncursed” with a picture of Danhausen and the Knicks logo.
Expect more WWE and New York Knicks crossover. Many players on the team are huge WWE fans, and Saturday Night’s Main Event is coming to Madison Square Garden in July.
It’s hard to believe the Knicks won’t be front and center that night. And they probably owe Danhausen, so bring some gifts and some human monies, Knicks. You can afford it now, you’re champions.
