The unfortunate thing about getting hit from behind, is that the affects can show up ten years after the incident. If the boy says he is fine and wants to bawl, let him play and do not baby him if that is what they might end up doing but I am not going to over react to the reality which is the coaches understand this and they are just acting accordingly for a day

30 years ago I was rear-ended. Thought I was fine. Roughly 18 hours later when I woke up to go to work, I literally couldn't get out of bed! Needed to see a Chiro for 6 weeks afterward... Would not at all be surprised if Kirk is out for Sunday.
