Cards still need some talent at the RT position.
Taylor Decker asked for his release from the Lions—he had a down year. Wonder if he is reading the future and looking for a payday from a needy team? Cam Robinson was on the radar . . .
Jonah Williams took a beating with the Cards last year and certainly looked washed after coming back too soon from injury. Bring him in for a look-see and medical?
We can wait for more FA experienced OT who will become available as teams sort out their draft picks and current roster.

We still have $41M in cap space. The rookie pool will cost about $12M and Brissett wants more money but the impact to the cap may be minor is they rework his contract. There’s no one good out there, and no extra help is going to arrive. They will be sub-Elijah Wilkinson types.
I do think the Cards expect to extend Garrett Williams and Michael Wilson in this calendar year; both would take up additional cap space.
I would not extend PJJ right now, but I expect the Cards to start working on a deal.

Hopefully we’re looking at veteran pass rushers instead of assuming ojulari and Robinson will make some sort of leap in that area.

I guess Sweat will get 12 first quarter sacks again this season.

LOL. I'm surprised that you are the only one calling me out for mentioning Jonah Williams.
He went from being a #11 pick to the Bengals in the 2019 draft to now being a discard among Card fans.
He is a player who had his promising career waylaid by his numerous injuries---before he even took the field for the Bengals he went out for the year with a bad shoulder. He returned to the lineup in 2020 and then went out with the knee. After he signed with the Cards, he once again went down with a knee.

His signing with the Cards was part of the reason the Cards felt comfortable moving on from DHump and flipping PJJ from RT to LT. That was probably his biggest contribution---getting our LT in place.
His ability to pass protect was limited by the knee. "During his time with the Arizona Cardinals, Jonah Williams had an overall PFF grade of 55.4 in the 2025 season, ranking him 75th among 89 qualified offensive tackles" (from PFF.) He allowed 22 total pressures in pass protection. That total included 4 sacks and 5 hits allowed to opposing pass rushers. He was flagged for 5 penalties over the course of the season.
Not stats to write home about, for sure. LOL. But, as with all promising players with an injury history, he is bound to get just one more 'look-see' from some team. Those 'Big Johns' along the OL need a longer time to heal---and then last years.

Everyone was excited to have Jonah Williams. But, let's look at what was expected right. K1 was mobile and plays different than a drop back QB. My point is JW was more concerned about the payday more than he thought about his situation. I'm more hopeful about the new Jonah Williams on the DL

I have already stated in another thread that I would like them to bring back Reddick, almost exclusively because we know for sure that he is a great fit in Rallis’ defense (if he is still effective is another matter), but I do think it is unfair to not mention Jadeveon Clowney on that list.
Last year, Clowney registered 9 sacks, 12 TFL and 40 QB pressures in 13 games (and actually in only a little more than 40% of all the Cowboys’ defensive snaps), so it’s not like he is washed up. I have no idea why he is still a free agent, but I would at least consider signing him.
