Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram is currently of interest to Tottenham Hotspur, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Roberto De Zerbi has identified the French international as a target to aid his midfield rebuild at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Spurs are closely monitoring Thuram’s situation in Turin. Juventus are prepared to sanction a permanent sale if an interested party meets their €40 million asking price. Thuram’s positional flexibility is precisely why he appeals to the recruitment hierarchy at N17. Capable of dropping deep to orchestrate build-up play as a lone number six or using his frame to drive forward as a box-to-box engine, the ‘extraordinary’ midfielder represents a tactically adaptable option.

While Thuram has previously shown great loyalty to Turin, turning down lucrative approaches from Saudi Pro League clubs and Turkish giants Galatasaray, Juventus’ fiscal reality has left the door open for a summer departure. Having originally signed him from Nice for €20 million in 2024, the Bianconeri see a €40 million sale as an ideal scenario to record a net profit and immediately balance their books.

Tottenham are far from alone in their admiration. Strong competition is rapidly materialising across Europe, with Paris Saint-Germain identifying the midfielder as a crucial target to bolster their midfield, alongside interest from Liverpool and Manchester United. With the €40 million fee representing a fair price for an established midfielder entering his peak years, Tottenham could turn to Thuram if their pursuit of Mateus Fernandes or Sandro Tonali hits a snag. Spurs have wrapped up personal terms for both players and are now working to finalise a deal with their respective clubs.
