CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Keyser exploded for 32 first-quarter points to crush Bridgeport, 55-23, at the CEC Tournament at Robert C. Byrd on Friday.
The Golden Tornado (3-0) led 32-8 after a period, led by nine points by Bibs Felton, eight from Rooney Urice and seven via Ava Barrick in the first eight minutes.
Keyser led 40-13 at the half and 51-18 after three quarters. Felton finished with a game-high 14 points, and Urice added 12.
Reese Pierce topped Bridgeport with 10 points.
Keyser is at Moorefield (0-2) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Fort Hill 70, Ferndale 29
CUMBERLAND — Fort Hill earned its first win of the season with a rout of Ferndale on Friday.
Aubry Spangler scored a game-high 23 points for the Sentinels (1-2) and added seven steals.
Caniyah Plummer finished with 19 points and seven steals while Aubrey Fultz scored 10 points.
Geonna Riffle led Ferndale with 11 points.
Fort Hill led 20-4, 43-17 and 62-22 after three quarters.
The Sentinels won 28-14 in the junior varsity game led by Kennedy Helmstetter's seven points.
The Sentinels head to Morgantown Christian on Tuesday.
Petersburg 57, Frankfort 42
PETERSBURG, W.Va. — Ayden Mayfield scored 18 points in the second half, leading Petersburg over Frankfort on Friday.
Mayfield led both teams with 27 points, shooting 12 of 14 at the line.
Shyane Tawney and Sis Cole each scored 10 points for the Vikings (3-1).
Ava Lupettie and Angel Arnold each scored 15 points for the Falcons (2-2).
Lupettie scored 11 in the second half while Arnold scored 10.
Petersburg led 20-7, 30-16 and 45-34 through three quarters.
Frankfort hosts Meyersdale on Monday at 7 p.m.
Petersburg hosts Tucker County on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
Bishop Walsh 56, New Life 18
CUMBERLAND — Lanie Odom and Aerianna Jackson combined for 16 first-quarter points, as Bishop Walsh used a fast start to down New Life on Friday.
The Spartans (3-4) jumped out to a 23-3 edge after a quarter. Bishop Walsh held 41-15 and 50-18 advantages after halftime and the third period, respectively.
Odom finished with 19 points, hitting five 3-pointers, Aerianna Jackson tallied 14 points and nine assists, Cayenne Ostrander scored nine points, and Anzleigh Simmons ended with seven points and seven boards.
Alayna Head paced New Life with six points.
Bishop Walsh is at Cumberland Valley on Monday at 5 p.m.
Northern 60, Hancock 20
ACCIDENT — Abby Nelson's 23 points led Northern to a rout of Hancock on Friday.
Nelson shot 10 of 14 from the field and added seven assists.
Marisa Perez hit three 3-pointer for nine points while Allahna Lacy scored eight points with four assists and a block.
The Huskies (2-1) led 15-2, 32-5 and 48-12 after three frames.
Northern plays Buffalo in a tournament next Friday.
Paw Paw 39, Highland 29
MONTEREY, Va. — Paw Paw finished with four players, but Shayla Tanouye's 25 points were enough to lead the Pirates past Highland on Saturday.
Paw Paw (2-1), which only dresses five, was down one after Kyndal Corbett fouled out. The Pirates' 30-23 edge entering the fourth proved just enough to hold on.
Alexis Kidwell and Joselyn Smith tallied seven points each for Paw Paw.
Leading Highland in scoring were Colleen Adams (11) and Amelia Good (10).
Paw Paw is at Hancock on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Osbourn Park 68, Southern 45
OAKLAND — Trailing 43-34 heading to the fourth, Osbourn Park outscored Southern 25-11 in the fourth quarter to pull away and win on Friday.
The Yellow Jackets led 17-10 and 27-19 through two quarters.
Joycelyn Ward led the Rams (2-2) with 18 points.
Keyarah Rainey led both teams with 23 points for Osbourn Park while Janey Salinas scored 12.
Southern heads to Morgantown on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
St. Marys 72, Moorefield 41
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Brynnley Bulluck poured in 31 points to power St. Marys to a romp of Moorefield at the CEC Tournament at Robert C. Byrd on Friday.
Bulluck was joined in double figures by teammates Anna Bennett (14), Laney Watkins (13) and Landry Riggs (12). Bulluck made five 3-pointers.
Moorefield's Kerigan Bergdall finished with a team-high 18 points, sinking a pair of triples.
Moorefield hosts Keyser (3-0) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
