With training camp drawing closer, we will be highlighting the one big question that faces each Indianapolis Colts' position group.

Next up are the wide receivers. While we could focus on Alec Pierce and his ability to step into the clear-cut WR1 role, we'll instead go a different direction, focusing on one of the big training camp battles taking place this summer for WR3.

Who emerges as the Colts' third WR on the depth chart?

With Michael Pittman in Pittsburgh, the third starting wide receiver position is up for grabs. Competing for that job are several players, including Ashton Dulin, Laquon Treadwell, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Deion Burks.

During offseason programs, of this group, Dulin seemed to stand out most and take the early lead in this battle, although there is still a long way to go.

Without Pittman, there will be a lot of production to replace. He saw a team-high 110 targets come his way last season. That said, whether it be Dulin or someone else, whoever ends up as WR3 on the depth chart won't be solely responsible for making up for Pittman's lost production.

Rather, it will be a group effort, with the Colts also leaning on their top players -- Pierce, Downs, and Tyler Warren. And while someone has to be WR3 on paper, we could see a rotation, with multiple players filling that role, depending on the matchup and in-game situations.
