Kevin Stefanski takes classy approach to Baker Mayfield slight

New Atlanta Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski took the high road on Wednesday at his introductory presser when asked abut former Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield's harsh comments directed at him.

After Mayfield alleged last week that Stefanski didn't reach out to him after his Cleveland trade to the Carolina Panthers, Stefanski opted to avoid any specifics omitted Mayfield's comments and praise the quarterback instead.

"Baker's somebody that I have a ton of respect for as a player and a person," Stefanski said about Mayfield. "I love rivalries in sports, and obviously, Buccaneers-Falcons have a great rivalry. It's something that I'm excited about."

As with many he-said/he-said moments in the NFL, we'll probably never know exactly what happened here between Mayfield and Stefanski. However, the new Falcons coach is wise to just avoid blowing the issue up any bigger.

Such is life! We're very curious to see when the NFL schedulers put the first Bucs-Falcons this season.
