Heading into the 2026 NFL Combine, expectations were sky high for Oregon Ducks tight end Kenyon Sadiq. And after his performance on Friday, he managed to smash right through those expectations and set records, putting himself in rare air compared to current and former NFL superstars with his on-field agility testing marks.

Let's start with his 40-yard dash time of 4.39 seconds, which came in first among tight ends at the combine with the next-fastest tight end running a 4.51. It was the fastest time by his position since at least 2003 and was faster than one notable superstar wide receiver out of LSU: Odell Beckham Jr., who came in with a time of 4.43 seconds at the 2014 combine.

Beckham weighed 198 pounds at the time, while Sadiq is 42 pounds heavier at 241 pounds.

For more perspective, Sadiq's maximum speed came away as 23.24 miles per hour, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. That's the exact same top speed that Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs registered in 2023. Gibbs is widely recognized as one of the top running backs in the league thanks to his home run-hitting ability for the Detroit Lions.

Furthermore, Sadiq's 10-yard split of 1.54 seconds, also first among tight ends in 2026, was faster than DeSean Jackson's mark. Jackson was a burner at wide receiver for over a decade, routinely taking the top off of defenses and celebrating as he left them in the dust.

Kenyon Sadiq had one of the best days ever by a TE at the Combine:

Vertical Jump: 43.5’’ (second-best ever by a TE)
Broad Jump: 11’1’’ (third-best ever by a TE)@Accenture | @oregonfootballpic.twitter.com/fxvABmsGrd

Another NFL star wide receiver, Julio Jones, is known for his jump ball abilities.

Jones had a vertical jump of 38.5"; Sadiq's was five inches higher, coming in at an astounding 43.5". Sadiq also rivaled longtime Houston Texans star wide receiver Andre Johnson in the broad jump, edging him out by one inch.

Essentially, Sadiq bested a who's who of NFL star running backs and wide receiver during his performance at the 2026 NFL Combine on Friday.

If his appearance in Indianapolis didn't boost his draft stock, as he also reportedly killed it in team interviews, there's not much else that will.
