The Kentucky Wildcats will travel to Baton Rouge to take on the LSU Tigers on Wednesday night. Game time is set for 7:00 PM ET on the SEC Network. Kentucky is a 4.5-point favorite via FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Cats are now 10-6 on the season after a rough start to SEC play. The Cats looked a little more spirited their last time out in a huge win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Hopefully, that game is a step in the right direction, but things look pretty bleak right now, and we know how bad Mark Pope has been on the road in his short tenure.

To make matters worse, Jaland Lowe is done for the season, and Jayden Quaintance is sitting out another game with what’s being called “knee swelling.”

As for the Tigers, they’re 12-4 on the season, but they don’t look to be a good team. In fact, they look like one of the worst teams in the SEC as they sit at 0-3 in conference with losses to Texas A&M, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt.

Matt McMahon’s squad will be without their starting point guard, leading scorer, and assist man in Dedan Thomas, who has been ruled out for tonight after initially being listed as doubtful on the SEC injury report. Thomas averages 16.2 points and 7.1 assists per game.

They’ll also be without their sixth man, Jalen Reed, who averages 9.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

All in all, it looks like a matchup between a couple of bottom feeders in the SEC with some injury troubles, so let’s hope the Cats can get the job done.
