The Kentucky Wildcats and women's basketball coach Kenny Brooks have landed an elite group of recruits for the 2026 class. They have also targeted a number the top players in 2027. He's looking ahead even farther than that, though, all the way to 2029 with an offer to Charlotte McCurry.
McCurry is an in-state recruit, and is the third player offered from the 2029 class. She's the second one from the Bluegrass state, joining center Jayden McClain as Brooks looks to keep the top players at home.
A 6'0" guard for John Hardin High School, McCurry averaged over 27 points and 10 rebounds per game and made 38% of her three-point attempts last season. Rankings for the 2029 class aren't available yet, but she could come in with a solid ranking once they do.
In his short time in Lexington, Brooks has proven to be a good recruiter. He is also adept at looking ahead and recruiting from multiple classes. Looking ahead three years takes talent, and Brooks has a knack for identifying good players and establishing early connections can pay dividends when it's commitment time. We'll continue to follow McCurry's recruitment.
