The Kentucky Wildcats basketball coaching staff has been doing their due diligence on the class of 2027, extending offers to a handful of rising stars. They’ve officially offered 22 players in the class as of July 29.

Ahmed Nur, a standout in the class of 2027, is the latest player to score an offer from the Wildcats; he announced on Wednesday. The Bella Vista Prep standout is a 6-foot-9, 190-pound forward who’s currently ranked as the No. 25 player in the nation and No. 5 player in the state of Arizona, according to 247 Sports.

The Hopkins, Minnesota native is a fluid sharpshooter with great length. He’s drawn interest from many schools around the nation, including Wake Forest, Penn State, Purdue, Alabama, Kansas, BYU, Texas, Ole Miss, Arizona State, among others.

Nur, a rising star in the ‘27 class, is just looking for consistency in his game. Coming off a season with 3SSB, where he averaged 12 points on 40/30/69 splits, his game comes naturally to him. His 7-foot-1 wingspan gives him tremendous length on both sides of the ball. He has great ability to get on the glass and block shots on the defensive end.

Nur has great potential to fly up the ranks and be a terrific stretch-four under Mark Pope. It’ll be interesting to see how the Wildcats navigate the entire class, as they’ve already extended a good amount of scholarships.
