The Cleveland Cavaliers just got swept in the Eastern Conference Finals. It is a big blow to the Cavs, but it is more on the New York Knicks for playing at an elite level against Kenny Atkinson's team.

Speaking of the Cavs' head coach, he was quite complimentary towards the Knicks after the game. He knows the Cavs messed up, but he also acknowledged how well the Knicks played across all four games.

Kenny Atkinson credits the New York Knicks for dominating against the Cavs

Since the Cavaliers won their first two series in full seven-game series, some people would think that they are prepared for a high-stakes series against the Knicks. Unfortunately, it looked like they could not keep up with New York.

Atkinson knows this, which is why he made sure to credit the Knicks for completely dominating the Cavs. It was a tough result to swallow, but Atkinson will keep it moving forward despite the humiliating defeat.

The Knicks were dominant in every area, as Jalen Brunson and his teammates trounced the Cavs. Game 4 was the best example of this, as they closed out the series with a 130-93 win.

"I don't want to go and detract from what we've done, and what we've done this postseason. Sometimes you've got to give the other team credit for playing great basketball," Atkinson said after the Cavs got swept in Game 4.

Now, it's back to the drawing board for Atkinson, the players, and the front office. It is time for them to look into making major moves to help the team, but it seems Atkinson and the players still believe in the project.
