Interior defensive line is arguably the Chargers' biggest positional need heading into the draft on Thursday, and one way they could fill it is by taking Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant with the No. 22 overall pick.

Speaking on SportsCenter, Grant talked about what it would mean to him to potentially reunite with head coach Jim Harbaugh.

“It would mean a lot," Grant said. "He’s a great coach, great person in general. I mean, there’s so much to relate to, you know, just listen to him, listen to him talk. I mean, you can learn so much from him, but also, kind of, like, get a laugh out of it, too.

“It was just all about winning, for him, all about winning that national championship, winning rivalry games. And, I mean, that’s something I want to be a part of.”

Grant played two seasons under Harbaugh. In his sophomore campaign, the Wolverines won the National Championship, which marked Harbaugh's final game in the college ranks.

Harbaugh has heaped high praise on Grant, calling him and former teammate and projected top-10 pick Mason Graham "a gift from the football gods."

After the departure of Poona Ford, the Chargers need more bonafide talent up front, which Grant could bring to the defensive tackle room. The 6-foot-4 and 331-pound Grant is a behemoth of a man who can generate disruption in the pass and run game.
