Sounded good.

You should have thrown in a "Here to represent ASFN!"

I was a tad nervous...

I wanted to throw out the props, but I was outside and my list of names of users on the board blew away...

Do Over!!! :D

Yes, but they're sticking with the pre-trade draft order. I feel sorry for the guys picking for Chicago and the Jets...no chance at free steak!

Jureki and Lewis are boneheads. When the guy for Jacksonville picked Harris at tackle instead of Gross he explained that he didn't think that Gross would still be there and he wanted the steaks. Jureki and Lew kept panning him because he didn't pick Gross since he was available. *********, he said he didn't think that he would be there!

I wanted the steaks too, that's why I didn't select Trufant for Seattle. No way he drops to the #11 spot...New Orleans will find a way to get our #6 pick...

I listened this am - good job on your pick - hope you win the steaks!

I thought it was cool of MJ and Lewis to give steaks to the guy who picked Trufant who fell so far, even tho there is no way its gonna happen tomorrow.

There whole draft was flawed.

The Jets/Chi trade should have been dealt with better. When the trade was announced during the break, neither host even knew about it. The Jets GM said, correctly, what about the trade? And the hosts blew him off.

Then the problem of rewarding people with steaks for picking the correct player became a huge problem as GMs wanted to win steaks and pick who they thought would be left instead of picking based on how the mock draft went. The reward of steaks defeated the mock draft purpose.

Since I like the idea of getting steaks, they should change the game next year where they have 2 things. 1) mock draft based on what happend so far in the draft, and 2) guess your teams actual pick to win the steak. Then, the mock would go smoothly and you can still express your thoughts on what might happen in the real NFL draft.

They had to have known, the news report was anncounced while I was on the phone waiting my turn. 10 picks had gone by at that point. The first 10 selections took up the entire first hour.

In their defense, they had to get 32 picks done in a couple of hours while still entertaining their audience. They might have gone back to let the Jets GM redraft the #4 pick, but would not have not been able to get all 32 picks in and still be able to complete the rest of their show's commitments.

The whole Trufant thing was a bit of a joke, once he dropped out of the top 10, no one was going to pick the guy, lest they lose their opportunity at free steak.

The announcment for the CHI/NYJ trade did happen during the draft. I'm thinking that both MJ and Bill had their hands full just keeping the draft running smoothly and didn't hear, or didn't get the message that the trade was FINAL. That was a mistake by thier producer. He should have told them about it when they hit the break.

Now, I don't really expect them to go back and redo the draft, just handle it better. For example, as soon as they found out about the trade, tell the Jets GM that his pick was traded. Off air, get his Jet's pick at #4 so he has a chance to win the steaks, and then call back the CHI GM and tell him to hurry up and do some research as he will have the 2 Jets picks comming up shortly. If he is unable to do research, then help him out, off air.

Then, the rest of the draft might have fallen back to somewhat reasonable.

As is, their draft now isn't worth much.
