The NBA really has to change the way the playoff seeding. There EC has gotten a LOt worse this off season.
The top 4 teams could still be really good, especially if KD can come back relatively healthy next year, but the bottom of the conference isn’t great.

Bucks
Sixers
Celtics
Nets

Pacers
Raptors
Miami if they can make some moves

Sixers or Bucks on top?
Sixers lost Jimmy, but added some talent too. Bucks lost Brogdon. Miami is only marginally better. The Nets are only marginally better this year and who knows next year (achilles uncertainty).

Yeah, I was commenting earlier today how Galinari killed us when we played the Clippers. Now he's on OKC! And the Clippers gained Leonard and George! Great!

Will the lakers even have a starting lineup though. They may be the ones starting Cannan this year.
Their starters won’t be a problem if they can find a PG.

AD
Kuzma
LeBrob
Green
Point guard?

It’s how are they going to fill out the rest of the roster.

paraphrasing Syndrome.

When nearly everyone has a super team—then no one does.

Yeah I guess so. I'm just saying OKC came out great.
Did they though? What do they do with their team now? They can't win a chip how theyre presently constructed, probably won't even make the playoffs. Do they trade Russ now and start a rebuild? This deal might look like the nets deal later on, but the players are younger and worth the risk.

Yeah, I actually don't see a "superteam" anywhere in the league right now, it's refreshing, the only reason any of them feel "super" is because of the way they were engineered, players forcing their way around.

There are like 5-6 legit contenders, arguably more. This next season should be really interesting.

Thank god he didn't sign with the Lakers.

They aren't going to win one with all the teams ahead of them. Paul George wanted out so OKC supposedly had no leverage. Again, that's why you hire a veteran GM!

By the way, George just successfully forced his way out after the first year of a long-term deal. Sound familiar?...

When Jerry West dies, NBA teams will be negotiating for his burial site expecting he will still help them turn their team around. He is like 82 for goodness sakes.

I remember growing up watching b-ball in the 80’s and 90’s. There were so many good teams and a lot of teams had good star players or deep rosters. I watched a lot of western conference basketball and you always felt each team had a shot.

Jazz had Stock and Mailman
Portland had Drexler, Porter, Kersey, Duckworth, Uncle Cliffy
Seattle had Kemp and Payton
Suns had first the KJ, Dan, Hornacek team that changed into the Barkley era
Houston had Hakeem
Warriors had Mullen, Hardaway, Richmond, Spree later on
Lakers always has their big core
Even the Nuggets has exciting teams at times with Lever and Alex English

I’m sure I’m forgetting some but the west is more like the West of old.

OKC did what they had to do, at least they got something for him, a lot actually. I feel for them though, small market teams really don't get the big names all that often as we know all to well. It's amazing that at one point they had harden, Westbrook, kd, and ibaka, at the same time.

And they all beat up on the Clippers. I do not want to be the new Clippers.

He didn't force his way out, there was never a peep about any of this, if Kawhi had signed with the Lakers or Raptors then George is still in OKC and no one is the wiser. He only asked to leave to play with Kawhi.
