Kareem moving to OLB?

Shaughnessy is basically a hybrid OLB/DE in the 3-4 scheme we run. He's very rarely more than a step off the line of scrimmage and has almost no coverage responsibilities. We're certainly not switching to a 4-3 but the distinction between 3-4 and 4-3 defenses is getting smaller every year.

DD stated he loved the 3-4 D rather then the 4-3. No way they are changing it.

I know they aren't changing it but just FYI that guy plays in SF now ;)

I remember last year watching Harbaugh talk about playing the Cardinals -- he said something to the effect that the Cardinal's D is really a 5-1-5 and that the unique alignment presents some problems

i believe they are switching to a 3 1/2 - 3 1/2 defense. It will likely get messy!

Hopefully that 1/2 - 1/2 player has a LBers speed and a DLs upper body strength not the other way around.
