Barcelona look set to miss out on another defender as reported target Josko Gvardiol is expected to commit his future to Manchester City.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Gvardiol is now expected to sign a contract extension with City until 2031 and will also receive a pay rise.

Manchester City are confident to get new contract sealed soon with Joško Gvardiol.

Barcelona’s focus still seems to be on trying to sign Julian Alvarez from Atletico, although there is continued speculation the Catalans could still try to sign a defender.
