Often overshadowed by his brother during the season, Cayden Boozer played a pivotal role in Duke's ACC Tournament victory over Clemson, as the Blue Devils advanced to their second straight ACC Championship game.
Although Cam Boozer led the team in scoring with 24 points to go along with 14 rebounds and five assists, his twin brother Cayden wasn't far behind.
After just nine points against Florida State on Thursday, Cayden scored a career-high 16 Friday night against Clemson.
He did so on 50 percent shooting from the field (6-for-12) and 50 percent shooting from three-point range (1-for-2).
Cayden also set a new career-high in minutes played, playing 37 of a total 40 minutes. He led all players in plus-minus as well, finishing the night at +18.
Following the game, head coach Jon Scheyer had high praise for Cayden, complementing his resilience throughout the season.
Scheyer and Duke will need to rely on their toughness to defeat Virginia in Saturday's ACC Championship as the shorthanded Blue Devils are set to play a seven-man rotation for their third game in as many days.

"I just want to tell him just how much I believe in him. And to handle different things that are thrown your way as a freshman, you haven't seen everything. I just want to help prepare him for what other teams can do. But his toughness, his mental toughness is not something you can teach. He had that on his own."
