Johnson and Boldin means no Robinson?

We get to look forward to a WR competition in Training Camp of Johnson, Boldin, McAddley, Kasper, Gilmore and Poole? For some reason that doesn't really excite me--it might pay dividends in 2 seasons but right now its gonna be ugly.

We can forget about Robinson and Muhamed now...at least thats my guess based on their draft day strategy so far.

You Guys May Be Wrong

Despite selecting two wide receivers so far in the 2003 Draft, Vice-President of Football Operations Rod Graves has not closed the door on signing veteran wide receiver Marcus Robinson.

"No, it does not," stated Graves. "I had indicated with his agent that I would be in contact with him after the draft. His agent indicated that Marcus' first priority was the Arizona Cardinals and so we will follow up with him after the draft and continue to talk and hopefully get something done with Marcus."

Mentors are OK, but I think over-rated as far as often teaching specific techniques, etc.

That's what coaches are for.

The role models I like to see are the one's that demonstrate leadership in their play and work/preparation ethic, regardless of their individual position on the team.

With Sullivan and Tolbert here, I want them teaching our receivers, not necessarily some other player.

Wr's core is looking good once again as long as we do sign Robinson....... Robinson, Johnson, Boldin, McAddley, Gilmore, and Kasper........... I believe we will sign Marcus Robinson after the draft and the receiving core will be looked at as deep once again........Robinson might not be quite as good as Boston..... But our next 5 wr's now are as good or better than Sanders or Martay.... just my opinion
