Kings take 16 fts to the Suns 4 attempts in the 1st half. Does any other top team in the league over the last couple of years get less respect from the refs than the Suns consistently get (despite the level of the competition)?

I dont think the officiating has been suspect, I think it has to do with the Suns not being aggresive inside the paint. How many times has Diaw been 2 feet away from the hoop and pass it out?? Not only that, we have been very careless with the ball

Wow, I'm so glad to see someone post that.

Calls always go to the aggressive teams, and driving and shooting gets more fouls called than driving and dishing for jumpers.

Sacramento used to whine about this all the time, while shooting a ton of jumpers and fouling people as the game was out of hand then whining about free throw disparity. Uhm, how about go inside and stop jacking threes every two trips down, sacto?

Artest has floored Raja Bell twice with a lowered shoulder with no calls. Then Artest bends down and starts patting him on the stomach while Raja's on the ground....easily considered taunting and deserving of a tech in the new oversensitive NBA, but no tech is called and the announcers laugh about it and make fun of Raja Bell. There was also a play where Bibby got called for stepping out of bounds and he rifled the ball downcourt and didn't get a tech.

There've been a lot of other plays where we get fouled going to the basket with no calls and the same play happens on the other end and they're shooting fts. 3 seconds in the lane on offense or defense hasn't been called all game. Artest does a real bushleague move to get foul calls by putting one of his elbows under the defenders arm and then going up for the shot creating contact. Suns have 4 team fouls in less than 3 minutes of the 4th qtr.

I hate mike bibby and his "big nuts" dance. I should have kicked that dude in the knee the time I saw him at communion, but I figured it would be blasphemous. On hindsight, I'm sure God would have okayed that one.

after this game:

haha, so much for a title run. once again we lose to a team that isnt even in the playoffs, the kings are hardly in contention for the 8th seed. something incredible will have to happen in order for this team to win a title- eg dallas and san antonio lose in the 1st round. with the way denver beat us the other day, im not even sure we can make it out of the first round./doomsday

It's just one of those games where Bibby gets lucky. I mean come on he shoots 40% on the year and 34% from three point range. He just had one hot game. The next game watch him throw up bricks.

All this game proves is that if you play physical against the Suns and the refs allow it, then you can disrupt the Suns offense and potentially win (and you have to shoot 50% from 3pt range and have a 30 to 13 ft advantage).

The Suns didnt really show up today, while Sacramento played with fire, things like this happen at the end of the regular season. And still the Kings needed Bibby's incredible 3point shooting to win (and he was not open very often)

its almost playoff time and we are playing beginning of the season basketball. its about time we step it up and win these gimme type games so that we can wrap up number 2 and rest the starters. we still have our starters playing more mins than any other team. yes bibby had a great game because he decided that he was going to take those 3's and do everything possible to make his team win. nobody on the suns played that way at all, in fact when anyone other than nash or barbosa got the ball they were looking lost and just trying to pass the ball to somebody else all the time.

I dont think this game means we cant win the title or not get to the wcf every good team loses to bad teams it happens plus Bibby was just on fire this game he hit every shot he took, but the suns are still easily one of the top 3 teams in the west.

id say its safe to say we are the 2nd best team in the west and in the nba, and we even have a chance to split the series with dallas so we arent that far off from the best, we just need to win these pathetically easy games and get on with resting the starters. also, we need to decide who is going to take over the game offensively when it comes down to the end of games where we need a shot.

with this loss, we really opened the door for san antonio to bring it one game closer, and we cant handle anymore playing time on the starters. just pathetic

Other than Barbosa, the bench absolutely sucked today. JR & Rose couldn't make shots and KT kept getting called for cheap fouls so he couldn't be effective. D'Antoni has been trying to utilize different rotations and there are some that just aren't working........ Like having JR, Rose, LB, Diaw & KT on the floor together.

This line is crap. Just because a team shoots a lot of 3's then that means they don't deserve foul calls when they do go to the basket? It's not like every shot we take is a jumpshot. In fact, we usually score a lot of points in the paint every game, yet we're seen as a soft team so we don't get calls. Suns had 46 points in the paint today to the Kings 42, yet we get outshot at the ft line 30 to 13...... (fast break points were pretty even, Suns 13 to Kings 12).
