All I keep hearing about is how Ty Simpson doesn’t have a very strong arm. The Jets would be a horrible location for him to play outdoors with swirling winds in the cold. I just don’t see it. I think we can get Simpson at 34 without trading up.

Everything I’m seeing says is arm strength is more than adequate/above average and he impressed more than scouts. Thought he would.

I think that’s a lot of draft smoke to throw people off.

Everyone looks good indoors with no pressure. even Josh Allen has balls sail on him sometimes in Buffalo. I can’t think of too many quarterbacks that don’t have strong arms that have had success in the northeast playing outdoors.

No one is drafting this dude but us sadly.

Don’t want us to draft him at all but trading up to get a guy no one wants is very on brand for us.
Yup the supposed ease of the Shanahan system on QBs should encourage us to downplay the QB position for traits, not more eagerly invest in it.

It should expand the range of meaningful candidates. It’s not beyond imagining that Brissett or Minshew can be better in this offense than they’ve been elsewhere; it’s just that for them better is combining for like a 5-12 record.

Sad!

I'm so bloody indecisive . The more I'm thinking about this, the more I'm starting to think we need to go Love. I'd like Bailey, but don't think he'll be there at #3, a trade down massively depends on what Monti can get, and we often don't come out of it well in hindsight.

With Love, I think it's someone who helps MLF in his first season and will thrive in the Shanahan System. We may have Conner and Allgeier, but they might use them in a type of Fullback role that the Shanahan System likes, both are good blockers and Conner is a reliable pass catcher.

we're not drafting simpson - we're not trading back - we're definitely not trading back up - we're not listening to any offers unless they're absurd - we're drafting love
This is the way...however, if Simpson is there at the end of round 1, I think they do trade up to grab him, unless they feel he'll be there at 34. I can realistically see a RB/QB combo draft tomorrow night.

First, welcome to the forum. You're posts show you're obviously an American football fan. But I have to ask one question...is "bloody" the equivalent to the American F word? Because if it is, it's about to be the new bloody word used around here...LOL
Thanks mate, it similar word, not as strong or as offensive, just added for frustration, I sometimes use 'friggin' as well

Hearing the Cards would move up to take him or maybe down if they get pick 20.
