The Winnipeg Jets will be taking on the St. Louis Blues today in a win-or-go-home Game 7. Winnipeg wasn't able to close the series out in Game 6, falling short once again.
The home team has won every game in this series, potentially offering a slight advantage to the Jets in this contest. Winnipeg was the best team in the NHL during the regular season, winning the coveted Presidents' Trophy.
But the Blues have exposed them a little bit in this series, now putting them to the brink of elimination. Ahead of the contest, the Jets' social media page sent a direct message to the fanbase.
"IN OUR HOUSE"
Entering this game, Winnipeg has been worried about the struggles of goalie Connor Hellebuyck. Hellebuyck allowed five goals on 23 shots through two periods in Game 6, keeping his issues on the road alive.
Winnipeg is hopeful that the star goalie can calm things down in this final game to help them advance. However, Jets coach Scott Arniel knows that it will take more than just his goalie to win the matchup.

“A one-game showdown. That’s what it is. Not just Connor. This isn’t about Connor. Tonight was not about Connor. Tonight, we imploded in front of him,” the Jets coach said of his goalie after a 5-2 loss at Enterprise Center on Friday.
Winnipeg has never had a Game 7 be played at home, making this a historic game for the franchise. A win would allow them to keep the Stanley Cup dream alive, but a loss would be another bitter moment following an extremely successful year.
