The New York Jets have drafted Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Arian Smith with the No. 110 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. The Jets spent a fourth-round pick drafting Smith, who was Georgia's leading receiver in 2024.
What does Arian Smith bring to the Jets?
Smith is a speedster. He has a track background and ran track during part of career at Georgia. He is known for generating significant separation on deep balls.
As a senior, Smith posted career-best numbers across the board. Smith recorded 48 receptions for 817 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He struggled with drops at times, but did an excellent job of gaining separation.
Smith ran the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds at the 2025 NFL combine, which was the tied-for 10th fastest time at the combine. Smith has the game speed to back up his 40-yard dash time.
The 6-foot, 185-pound receiver most notably hauled in 76-yard touchdown pass during the 2022 Peach Bowl against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff. Smith's long touchdown helped Georgia overcome a 14-point fourth quarter deficit as the Bulldogs went on to win the national championship.
We compare Smith to former NFL wide receiver Ted Ginn.
