Jersey are ranked 28th in the ICC's T20 rankings [ICC]

Jersey's national team will play at Lord's for the first time in their history on Thursday.

The island side will face the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) as part of preparations for their upcoming T20 World Cup qualifiers.

The island side have also arranged four T20 games with Scotland's 'A' side at Grainville on 18 and 19 April.

Jersey will play in T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier A in Cyprus from 16-23 May for a place in the final round of European qualifying for the 2028 T20 World Cup.

Jersey narrowly missed out on a place at this year's T20 World Cup after coming third in their five-team qualifying tournament in the Netherlands last summer.

"Playing at Lord's, the Home of Cricket, is a special honour," said Jersey cricket chief executive Sarah Gomersall.

"The occasion offers players and everyone involved a unique opportunity to experience one of the most historic venues in world sport, adding further significance to an already meaningful fixture."
