That's why I like Nash so much. He will create opportunities for any other players if they know how to take that opportunity.
I heard an interesting comparsion and argument:
Stockton VS Nash:
Well, it's an inevitable comparison because both are sort of short, not particularly atheltic and are very good passers, PG with high basketball IQ, and both have high % shooting as PG. And ,most importantly, both are "white" players.
But who is better?
My personal comment is this:
Stockton is great in half-court games and his offense usually involves 1-2 players: Karl and Jeff. Stockton is really calm and he is bound to be successful under Slogan's system because Slogan's system does not need any particularly athletic players.
Nash is great in full-court games and his offense usually involves all 4 players. You can see this really well in Suns right now. One day Amare scores team high, and then Marion, and then Q and then J. If Suns' offense only involves Amare/Marion, Q and J will not shine. But that's not the case with Nash. He WILL pass to you if you have the confidence to take the shots. However, Nash does have a few negative things: tends to run out of gas if the game is too tight and his half-court game can fade away if the teams just stand around. Nash is also not very good at stealing, unlike Stockton.
So, overall, I believe both are great guards and both are quite different.
