Jayson Tatum continues to rewrite the Celtics record book in his first full season back from Achilles surgery. After his triple-double performance on Wednesday night in Miami, Tatum is now the fastest Celtic since 2001 to reach 250 points, 100 rebounds and 50 assists in a season.
The accomplishment is even more impressive considering Tatum missed nearly 11 months of action before re-entering the fray and playing 12 games so far in 2025-26. Tatum’s rebounding and playmaking have reached career-best levels, and he is doing it while still working back into full scoring rhythm. The milestone reminds everyone of his all-around excellence and leadership on a championship-caliber roster.
With the playoffs on the horizon, Tatum’s rapid return to elite form has Boston fans excited about what lies ahead. His ability to impact every facet of the game remains unmatched, and he's only getting stronger at the moment.
