After tearing his Achilles in the Eastern Conference Semifinals versus the New York Knicks last season, Jayson Tatum missed 66 games due to injury during the 2025-26 campaign. This injury came at an unfortunate time for the Duke product, coming off of a fourth-place finish in MVP voting. That year, Tatum averaged 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, six assists and 1.1 steals per game.
However, Tatum worked diligently through recovery, managing to return for 16 regular season games to close out the season. In those contests, although Tatum's efficiency suffered, he still averaged 21.8 points, 5.3 assists and a career-high 10 rebounds per game.
