We haven’t hit the daily roster moves frequency that Alex Anthopoulos gave us, but we are making moves lately.

  • Davis Schneider and Adam Macko are back.
  • Sean Keys was optioned to Triple-A.
  • Patrick Corbin was put on the IL with a left teres major strain. I don’t know if the strain is major or it the teres has a major and minor part.

Corbin pitched Tuesday and it didn’t go well, 2.1 innings, 7 hits, 4 earned, 3 strikeouts. His ERA has jumped to 5.51. It was 3.65 at the end of May. Had to figure something was going on. Strains do kind of build on you if you keep doing the activity that causes the strain.

Keys hasn’t been hitting .167/.189/.278 in just 37 PA, but then who has been hitting?

Macko was just sent down on the weekend, after a pretty crappy outing.

Schneider has had a great July in Buffalo, hitting .298/.469/.660 with 5 home runs, 14 walks and 16 strikeouts. It is great to see actually swinging the bat, not just waiting for a walk. Hopefully he can continue that in Toronto.
