Jaylen Brown puts Joel Embiid on blast by calling him one of the league's biggest floppers originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Philadelphia 76ers are now in the Eastern Conference Semifinals after beating the Boston Celtics. Considering the 76ers were the #7 seed, it was a huge upset against the #2 seed. Of course, it was an overachieving campaign for the Celtics, but losing in the first round can still be considered a failure.
One of the biggest reasons behind the 76ers' success in the first round was Joel Embiid's return to the lineup in Game 4. With him active, the 76ers had a 3-1 record in the series, as he had a unique impact on the squad. Since he has a distinct play style, many people are not fans of how he can draw fouls. Someone who does not like that is Celtics wing Jaylen Brown.
Jaylen Brown believes Joel Embiid is one of the NBA's biggest floppers
Throughout NBA history, there have been many players who have done well to manipulate how the officials call games. Nowadays, drawing fouls has become a skill, which is seen with players like Embiid and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Some have even called it "unethical." Despite that, getting points is the goal, and dominating from the free-throw line can go a long way. It has worked out for stars like Embiid, SGA, and Deni Avdija because they help their teams get easy points.

Since he is part of a rival team, Brown dislikes Embiid's play style can be seen as a moment of bitterness. Considering he and the Celtics just lost to Embiid and the 76ers, it definitely looks like he is having a sore loser moment just a day after their elimination.
"Argue with your grandman. Flopping has ruined our game. Joel Embiid is a great player, one of the greatest bigs in basketball history, flops. He knows it, this isn't breaking news. It is what it is, I can clip it up," Brown said on his Twitch livestream.
Brown does say that it is his personal opinion, but it is certainly not a good look. They have clashed multiple times through the years, and the Celtics have dominated the matchup. However, the stinging loss and these comments could be on everyone's mind moving forward.
