The Detroit Tigers defeated the Boston Red Sox in thrilling fashion on Tuesday night as they defeated Joey Cora's team in extra innings.
Javier Baez set things off with a three-run home run that gave the Tigers the lead earlier in the game before finishing things off with a walk-off home run that sent the Comerica Park crowd into a frenzy.
Baez has regained the form that once made him a threat to make the MLB All-Star team each season before injuries and ineffectiveness nearly got him a pink slip with general manager Jeff Greenberg's franchise.
Baez got a four-word message from the Tigers' social media account that fans likely won't soon forget.

"HIS AURA IS UNMATCHED #REPDETROIT," the Tigers' X account tweeted after Baez's big shot to beat the Sox.
Baez tied designated hitter Kerry Carpenter and right fielder Zach McKinstry with two hits on the night as the Tigers improved their record to 28-15 on the season, first place in the American League Central.
The Red Sox fell to 22-22, three games behind the New York Yankees for first place in the American League East Division.
Baez has compiled six multi-hit games in the month of May out of nine games played heading into Wednesday's 6:40 p.m. first pitch against the Red Sox.
Baez entered Tuesday night's game hitting .353 for the month, sparking talk of a potential Comeback Player of the Year Award in the Motor City for the former Chicago Cubs and New York Mets star.
