In today's NFL with a robust free agency period and teams more willing to make splash trades than ever before, it sometimes feels as if there isn't as much hate in this league. Oh yes, fans still are flowing with haterade, but I'm talking about the hate shared between rival players.
This is not the case in the NFC West... specifically between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams. For those teams, the sensation of hate is alive and well. Apparently, the hate runs so deep it matters even when a player leaves.
Such is the case for now-former Rams defensive end Jared Verse. Earlier this offseason, Verse was traded away from the Super Bowl-contending Rams to the Cleveland Browns (who are very much not a Super Bowl-contenting team) in a deal to acquire Myles Garrett. Verse surely has plenty to say, which he did with Browns broadcaster Nathan Zegura. You can watch the whole interview here if you are curious, but I will highlight one specific thing Verse said.
Verse addressed the team himself before the news broke to the rest of the country, and he left them with one final message:
Jared Verse has only played in five career games against the Seahawks, but those five were more than enough to build a lifelong hatred of Seattle. Earlier this offseason, Verse made his feelings about the Seahawks known loud and clear.
Makes sense why Verse doesn't like Seattle. After all, the Seahawks made fools of Verse and the Rams defense twice last season, including the NFC Championship game where Verse himself mentioned they were thrown off their gameplan because they did not expect Sam Darnold to play so well early on in the game. Not sure I would admit such a thing if I were him, but I know I'd be salty about it if it happened to me.

“And I told them the most important thing, ‘Make sure’ – and I'm not going to cuss – ‘Make sure you beat the Seahawks. That’s all I care about.'"

"I genuinely don't like them. Like, l got a disdain in my heart for them. Like, I hate them. I don't like the Seahawks at all. There's nothing I like about them. I don't like their players. There's nobody I like about their staff. I don't like them.”
