Jamier Brown could be as fast as Ted Ginn Jr., the former electrifying wide receiver and returner at Ohio State.
Brown, who is committed to join the Buckeyes next year and one of the top receivers in the class of 2027, won the OHSAA Division II state title in the 100 meters in 10.42 seconds on June 7.

It was just nine days after he set Division II records at the state regional in Lexington, including a 100-meter dash time of 10.35 seconds.
Brown was part of Big Walnut’s boys track and field team after transferring to the high school in Sunbury earlier this year.
While Ginn was a speedster for the Buckeyes, burning defensive backs across the Big Ten two decades ago, he was also a standout in track and field in high school.

According to an Ohio State media guide, his fastest time in the 100 meters while at Glenville was 10.5 seconds, a mark that was eclipsed by Brown in recent weeks, putting him in unique company for a football star.
But Ginn also ran in the 200 meters in 21.51 seconds when he won the Division I state title as a junior in 2004, as well as 21.44 seconds during a preliminary round, times that were faster than those posted by Brown this year.
When Brown won the 200-meter state title, he ran in 2.91 seconds, surpassing his previous record of 2.94 seconds from the regional meet, several tenths of a second slower than Ginn.
Ginn was also a national champion in the 110-meter hurdles as a junior at Glenville.
