James Van Der Beek dies at 48. He became a teen idol on ‘Dawson’s Creek' and battled colorectal cancer in recent years.​ The ’90s teen drama vaulted him to a busy screen career that included self-deprecating comic roles and a performance as a high school quarterback in “Varsity Blues.”

When I built an internal tool at Nike for my team, I littered various errors with various James Vander Beek gifs. He made a whole bunch.

You had to use Firefox for the tool (internal security issue), so when someone used Chrome, the error said, "James Van Der Beek is impressed you are using a superior browser, now try this again in Firefox!"
