After scoring only once on opening day, the Triple-A Oklahoma City Comets scored in five different innings, including a crooked number in four of them in a 13-6 romp over the Albuquerque Isotopes (Rockies) on Saturday night at home.
Hyeseong Kim scored in the only run on Friday night, then scored four more times on Saturday, thanks to his first five-hit game in the United States. Kim singled four times and doubled against Albuquerque.

Kim’s five hits surpassed his previous high since signing with the Dodgers in January 2025. He had four hits in a major league game last May 31 against the New York Yankees.
Player of the day
James Tibbs III batted right behind Kim all night and also wreaked havoc at the plate. He scored three runs, drove in three, and had four hits. Tibbs tripled in the third inning, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the sixth inning, the latter giving Oklahoma City its first lead of the night at 7-6.

In the eighth inning, Tibbs missed a cycle by a few feet, settling for a double off the wall.
Also in consideration was Ryan Fitzgerald, who had three hits of his own, and his three-run home run turned the final score into a laugher. Fitzgerald, who played third base for a second straight night, drove in six runs in the victory.
On the pitching side, Ryder Ryan got roughed up for six runs (five earned) in his three innings. But four pitchers followed to cover the final six innings in scoreless fashion to secure the Comets’ first win of the season.
Ronan Kopp pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts and two walks. Kyle Hurt struck out three, working around a single and walk for a scoreless ninth.
