As the 2025 NBA playoffs are on the verge of Round 2, the league continues to announce its award winners. Dyson Daniels was named the 2024-25 Most Improved Player winner. The Oklahoma City Thunder didn't have a finalist, but had a player receive votes.
Jalen Williams received two third-place votes for the award. The 24-year-old was named an All-Star for the first time this season. He averaged 21.6 points on 48.4% shooting, 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
Entering his third season, Williams' ascension was easy to predict. He's part of a title contender and has seen his importance grow over time.
With Chet Holmgren out for most of the season with a hip fracture, Williams stepped up as the Thunder's second-best player and helped Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in his probable MVP campaign. The full voting results can be viewed below:
