Detroit native and former University of Michigan basketball star Jalen Rose and Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores announced a new venture on Thursday, Feb. 12.
The duo will launch a a multi-media production company out of Detroit called "Same Page Entertainment," according to a news release.
The group says it will bring a “By Detroit, For the World,” mentality to the venture, focusing on developing projects about the city and state's culture, history and legends, producing content with storytellers and creatives.
"With Same Page Entertainment we're creating a platform to amplify Detroit's creative talent and drive new economic opportunity. Our goal is to back people who have the courage to bet on themselves and who refuse to be limited by others' expectations," Gores said in a news release.
The company’s launch slate includes a television drama titled “South West High,” Rose's new audio/video podcast, a documentary on the McDonald’s All-American Games and a new content studio in downtown Detroit.

"I have been fortunate to have a successful career from an NBA athlete to an analyst and then full-time on-air talent. Now with Same Page, I'm entering my ownership era, expanding my creative reach to build a powerhouse studio beyond sports that develops talent, creates jobs, and produces projects right here in Michigan," Rose said.
According to the news release, Gore was an early supporter of Jalen Rose Leadership Academy and his firm Platinum Equity, have provided significant financial support.
The firm sponsored the Jalen Rose Celebrity Golf Classic for the twelfth straight year in May 2025.
Additionally, the mentorship program, a partnership between the two entities, awarded $50,000 in scholarships in the same year.
