Jalen Johnson's 2K rating skyrockets after first All-Star appearance

Former Duke alum Jalen Johnson has flown under the radar so far throughout his NBA career. A former No. 20 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Johnson has quietly turned himself into one of the league's brightest young stars. Johnson's skills were on display throughout the 2025-26 season, leading the Atlanta Hawks to a 46-36 record and a sixth-place finish in the Eastern Conference. For the first time in his career, Johnson made an All-Star appearance and an All-NBA team, averaging 22.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.4 blocks.

As a result, the former Blue Devil saw his NBA 2K rating skyrocket ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season. Johnson's rating jumped six points from 81 overall to an 87. Of all current players, this put Johnson in a tie for 27th, making him the highest-rated Hawks player in the game.
