After a successful first season with Miami, Jai Lucas is sticking around for years to come. Lucas reportedly signed a five-year extension with the team, according to CBS Sports.

In his first season with the team, Lucas led Miami to a 26-9 record. That was good enough to push Miami into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2022-23 season.

The team even managed to win its first game in the event, beating Missouri 80-66 before falling to the higher-seeded Purdue in the second round.

It was a stark turnaround for the team, which went just 7-24 during the 2024-25 season.
