Jahmyr Gibbs contract: RB contracts close to beating Jeremiyah Love's guarantees

Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love set an NFL record with his contract. The fully guaranteed $53 million contract was the most guaranteed money for a running back ever.

Three big-name running backs have signed huge contract extensions, but Love's guarantees are still No. 1.

That said, the guarantees are close.

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $67.5 million with $51.5 million guaranteed.

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor got a two-year, $44 million extension with $39 million guaranteed.

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson started the run of running back extensions. He got a three-year extension worth $66.75 million with $51 million guaranteed.

Robinson's and Gibbs' guarantees set things up for the next big extension to surpass Love's guarantees.
