We are now a few days into free agency, so let's take an updated look at the Jacksonville Jaguars current depth chart on offense.
The one outside free agent addition made by the Jaguars took place on the offensive side of the ball, with the team signing running back Chris Rodriguez. This came after Travis Etienne signed with the New Orleans Saints.
GM James Gladstone recently explained why it's been a quiet start to free agency for the Jaguars.
After taking a look at the defense, let's now go position-by-position, highlighting where things stand for the Jacksonville offense as we enter the fifth day of NFL free agency.
Perhaps late in the draft or after the Jaguars add another developmental prospect to compete with Carter Bradley on the practice squad.
The addition of Rodriguez adds experience to the position. He could share carries with Tuten, while Allen continues to see the field during obvious passing situations.
Jacksonville could add competition for the back-end of this position group, but the Jaguars are positioned well here overall.
Strange will lead the way here. Morris emerged as TE2 last year, bringing a blocking-heavy presence to the position, while Long has flashed in the passing game. This feels like a position the Jaguars add to in the NFL draft. At the NFL combine, the tight end position group impressed.
The Jaguars are experiencing really no roster turnover along the offensive line. However, for a team that stresses competition up front, I can't rule out an addition either, as Jacksonville looks to be more effective in the run game this season.
