Between now and training camp, we will be going through the Jacksonville Jaguars' full 90-man roster, previewing each player.
Up next is offensive lineman Jerome Carvin, who wears No. 79.
Carvin was signed by the Jaguars late in training camp last summer. He then spent the season on the practice squad.
Carvin went undrafted in 2023 and has no regular-season NFL experience. In the preseason, he has played mostly center, along with some snaps at guard, giving the Jaguars some position flexibility.
The practice squad is the most likely landing spot for Carvin -- although there will be competition for those spots as well.
Ezra Cleveland, Robert Hainsey, and Patrick Mekari are the projected starters along the interior offensive line. Wyatt Milum, Emmanuel Pregnon, and Jonah Monheim are all first off-the-bench options at each of those positions, not to mention that Walker Little and Chuma Edgoa can play some guard as well.
There are too many players on the depth chart for Carvin to hurdle to make the final 53-man roster.
