Jacksonville Jaguars' linebacker Yasir Abduallah popped up on the Friday injury report ahead of the team's Week 4 matchup vs. the San Francisco 49ers.
Abdullah was not on the injury report for the first two days, but is now listed as questionable with a hamstring injury after being limited on Friday.
It is possible that the injury occurred during Friday's practice.
Abdullah has been a core special teams contributor for the Jaguars this season. His 54 snaps on teams are the third-most on the team, only two behind Antonio Johnson, who leads the Jaguars.
Of the six different special teams phases, Abdullah contributes regularly to five of them.
Defensively, Abdullah hasn't seen any snaps these first three games, but he is listed on the depth chart as a secondary option alongside Dennis Gardeck for the third linebacker spot when the Jaguars are in their base 4-3 alignment.
If Abduallah can't go on Sunday, the Jaguars still have five other linebackers on the 53-man roster--so a practice squad elevation may not be required. However, someone will have to replace Abdullah's special teams contributions if he is out.
A sign as to whether or not Abdullah will play could come on Saturday if the Jaguars elevate linebacker Branson Combs from the practice squad to help out on teams.
