Long-time teammates, Travis Etienne and Trevor Lawrence, said their goodbyes over social media on Monday.

With the NFL's free agency negotiating window open, Etienne signed a four-year, $52 million deal with the New Orleans Saints. For the first time in quite a few years, he and Lawrence won't be teammates.

"We’ve come a long way!! Going to miss you man been a hell of an 8 year run. Best is yet to come," Lawrence posted on X.

Lawrence and Etienne entered the NFL in the same draft as first-round picks by the Jaguars. The two have been mainstays in the Jacksonville backfield over the last five seasons.

However, Lawrence and Etienne's history goes well beyond Jacksonville. The two were also teammates and shared the backfield during their college days at Clemson.

The 2026 season will be the first time that Lawrence and Etienne haven't been on the same team since 2018.
